Alan brings his gentle demeanor and needling skills, as well as excellent listening skills to his work in acupuncture. As one of his recent patients said “He has a gentle touch.” He offers a variety of treatments for family members of all ages, adults and children, woman and men from 2 years to 92 years old. The treatments help improve the health of all. He also practices at a Birth and Family Center where he treats pregnant and postpartum women. He practices acupuncture at the University of Washington Adolescent clinic, and teaches at Bastyr University.
I came into acupuncture as a father of young children when my own kids experienced belly aches, sports-related injuries, and the normal wear and tear of childhood. As they grew, I continued to support their good health through the teen years. I saw firsthand how effective acupuncture is for everything from acid reflux, to relief from nasal congestion, to exhaustion, and how easily it translates across all ages.
I was trained and worked in rehabilitation and social work but always felt called to develop my skills in Acupuncture. As I witnessed the healing and comfort it brought to family and friends, I returned to school and earned my MS in Acupuncture from Bastyr University. I have treated patients at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, Rainier Park Community Health Clinic, and Mount Saint Vincent Care Center.
I am married and live in Seattle with my two children and enjoy reading, going to movies, dancing, and painting. I look forward to hearing from you and welcome new patients.
