Massage Therapy – Penta Swanson, LMT
Hello, I am Penta Swanson a licensed Massage Therapist with 13 years of experience in the field who graduated from the LCC Massage Therapy program in Eugene, Oregon in 2007. I returned to my home town of Seattle in December of 2019 and am currently licensed in Washington state. I am delighted to be working with the wonderful team at West Seattle Wellness. I love what I do and that love translates well in my work as an LMT. I am a caring and professional LMT who builds relationships with my clients in insightful, intuitive, and practical ways. Providing clients with a feeling of healing, rest, and relaxation. Dedicated to helping others through the healing benefits of massage therapy.
I work with a variety of modalities including Geriatric, Prenatal, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Trigger Point, Therapeutic, and Hospice Massage. I listen carefully to your needs and address them in your massage. I always provide a safe environment for all of my clients to create a comforting and healing space for you. I value feedback during a therapeutic massage. There is much to be said about the power of touch. It can be so transformational. Massage provides healing human physical interaction making my clients feel better physically and psychologically. Human touch regardless of in the form of regular massage therapy can lead to an overall drop in stress, physical pain, and anxiety as well as facilitating a more restful sleep.
Swedish Massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body, however; Swedish massage goes beyond relaxation as it is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. Providing an increase in well-being, reducing stress, and boosting the body’s immune system.
I am also a certified Jivamukti yoga teacher since 2009 and I have a degree from the University of Oregon in Theatre Arts. I lived in France for a decade and speak fluent French.
Remember, it is important to consult your physician before having a massage treatment. I invite you to have your physician contact me with information related to any special considerations or contra-indications. I am looking forward to working with you and attending to your specific needs.
